Peek-a-Boo ICEE You

Elle had her first Icee experiance today, and she loved it just like everything else that comes out of a straw. I think she would drink poop out of a straw!

Like her death grip?

(Yes Dad, we were at Target!)

Here are a few pics of Drew and Elle in their Easter outfits from their Mimi.

Happy Easter!

Hope Every one had a great day. We started our day off with a visit from the Easter Bunny. Drew was really excited and was even shaking a little when he was going through his basket. Of course Elle was oblivious to it all.

We went to church and I think Drew learned for the first time why we celebrate Easter. During sharing time in Primary he was really reverent and paid very close attention, so I am curious over the next couple of days what he will say about it. He usually talks about what he learned at church all week.

We went to Bethany and Tyson's house for dinner and than came home. But overall we had a great day.

Adventures in Flagstaff

Well, where do I start? As we were approaching our freeway entrance to get home after church we noticed the traffic slowing. We also noticed a police officer flagging cars to turn around. So when got up to the front the officer told us the freeway was closed because of an accident we asked him how long it would be closed and he snapped back "there is a 40 car pile-up it could be closed for 8 hours". What 8 hours? You have got to be kidding me. Nope he wasn't kidding. So after calling some friends from church we ended up going to lunch, going to Target and the Mall and than deciding to go back to church to let the kids play in the nursery. Well around 7:00 (we got out of church at 2) we heard that some people had made it home through an alternate route which takes about 3 hours, So we decided to try the same thing since the freeway wasn't opening up anytime soon. So we did and we rolled into our house a little before 10:00 Pheww what a day!

We really are counting our blessings today because that is the road we have to take every single day to get to and from home. Also we didnt realize how much we take for granted. A road to get home, a home, food, extra clothes. So we are looking at life a little differently today.

Come to find out it was actually around 100 cars involved along a 4 mile stretch. (Glad we didnt leave church early that day, thank goodness for callings.)

Oh yeah and did I mention I had BBQ Chicken in the crock pot waiting for us when we got home.mmmmm!

Drew's acting debut part 2

Now, for the long awaited final installment of this 2 part series. I think this one is even better than the first. Enjoy!

Weekend in Tucson

Hey Everybody,

It's been a while since we've posted so we're catching up with this slide show. First, Paige went to Phoenix with her friends for a "girls weekend away". While she was gone I discovered Elle's hidden talent, modeling. She demonstrated these skills with a bottle of Dad's Mountain Dew. I took the kids to down to Sedona with some friends so we could go on a hike. Sedona was beautiful, Elle was really good she loves being in the backpack and I think they had a lot of fun except Drew got "really tired". Right when Paige got back, we turned around and drove to Tucson the next day. On the way down we were able to stop in Phoenix for another spring training baseball game. My friend Jon Nelson was playing and he hooked us up with some seats behind the dugout. I snapped a picture of Itichro batting because that's what the 20 other Japanese photographers were doing. It was cool to see Jon and to be so close to the players. We were in Tucson so I could go to a conference for work, but Paige and the kids had fun going to a zoo and a children's museum. Drew was busy with "work" in the submarine. Drew and his friends that were there pretended they were Diego because the zoo had all the same animals from Diego and friends.

Play Date

My friend Amber and I have been switching Thurdays for our boys to get together, this past week it was really nice out so we decided to play outside. Oh yeah and why bother going inside when you are having a lot of fun. He is all boy, for example I was pumping gas and could see throuh my back window Drew trying to wipe a booger on Elle. What the heck? How are little boys just naturally so nasty?

Drew's acting debut

Here is Drew acting out one of his favorite episodes from Spongebob Squarepants "The hash slinging slasher". If you haven't seen the show it may be hard to follow what he is saying, but his enthusiasm comes through regardless.

Stay tuned for part 2 of this two part series.

Drew Feeds Elle

Elle has been a really picky eater lately. Some days she hardly eats at all. This morning she was refusing her yogurt so I decided to leave her alone and unload the dishwasher. I starting hearing airplane noises and looked back and found Drew feeding her. And she was just happy to eat the yogurt from Drew. What a big helper. Maybe I should always have him feed her. She loves to do anything he is doing so I guess eating is no exception.

" MAMA"

Elle is really into saying"mama". Every chance she gets she is saying it. In the car, her room (when she is supposed to be napping), everywhere. So Drew got the idea that she should be saying "Drew Drew". So whenever she says "doo" he says " No it's Drew Drew."
Silly Kids!
