D,D,D Water Bottle

For Drew's Pre-School they have to bring four items to school that start with the same letter their name starts with. Today was Drew's turn so he needed four things that start with D. So last night Drew and I started to gather the items he would be taking. We ended up with a Dog, Dime, Disc, and Drink. The whole time we were gathering these items we practised by sounding out the D's like D,D,Dog and D, D, Disc etc. So after I was sure he had the idea I asked him what he was bringing that started with D and he promptly responded, "Puppy, Nickel, Frisbee, and Water Bottle". His teacher is going to be so confused.

Elle-isms

Yes, that is right Elle-isms. She is starting to crack us up with the things she says and does too. Where did these kids come from?

Today at church she was turned around in the pew and there was a little boy that had his hands on our seat and Elle was talking to him. And then she pointed to his dirty little finger nails and looked at me and said "eeew". And turned around and sat down. What a little princess.

Drew-isms

I love that my friend is Drew's preschool teacher so she can tell me all of the funny things Drew says and does on a daily basis.

On Thursday they will bring their favorite Teddy Bear to school and they were talking about it and Drew said "I just have one Teddy Bear" And another little boy said "well I have 2" and another said "well I have 3 Teddy Bears" and so on. And then Drew said "Well, I still only have one"


Today

Drew: "Sneeze"......"Mommy, you didn't say "Bless you"
Me: "Oh sorry, "Bless you"
Drew: "It's too late Mommy, it's just too late"

Speechless!!

I'll give you 2 guesses who did this...clue: it wasnt Justin or I.



And yes, that is a bite mark...urrgh..I am so mad right now!

All Because I killed a fly!!

That's how I felt about that mess!

Drew's First Day of Preschool

Well, today was finally the big day. I started my preschool search in March and was very frustrated at the potential places I would be sending my baby to school 3 times a week. After searching long and hard I decided to send him to a friend of mine who will be teaching preschool out of her home. And we could not be happier with the choice we made. I know he will be happy and safe there and in really good hands.

I said this morning to Drew that it was time to get dressed and he said "OK Mommy, I think I should wear my Star Wars shirt because my new school Buddies will think it is cool"

Not the outfit I had imagined him wearing on his first day of school but who doesn't want their friends at school to think what they are wearing is "cool". So that's what he wore.

I didn't really think about this whole new experience affecting Elle, but it did. I ran Drew and his friend up to the door to say good bye and when I got back in the car Elle looked at me and her eyes welled up with tears and she said "dew". I totally forgot to have him kiss her bye so we will have to remember that. She just adores him so she will miss him a lot when he is gone. I have some things planned for she and I to do on some of the days that he is in school. So it might be nice to spend the one on one time with her.
