T-Ball 2009

Yesterday Drew had his first t-ball game of the year and he did so good. We are very proud of him there weren't any tears and very good sportsmanship. Last year he would have a full on melt down if he was running after a ball and someone else got to it first. And he hits the ball great and then drops the bat and runs straight for first without any guidance. Also they don't use gloves so there is less distraction and they also use Nerf balls and bigger Nerf bats so they can sort of focus on the fundamentals without all the extra distractions such as gloves and helmets. I thought that was a great idea. Good job Drew!

Happy Easter!

We have really had a fun filled Easter Weekend. Justin and I wanted to really focus on the true meaning of Easter this year and do things a little more centered around Christ. On Saturday we decided to have the "Easter Bunny" come and also do a little egg hunt around the house that morning. And then on Sunday we watched a little video about Christ and the Resurrection and talked a little bit about why we celebrate Easter. We ended the night with a great dinner and a treasure hunt with Easter egg shaped sugar cookies that Elle and Drew could decorate at the end.

Elle's First Haircut

We took Elle today to get her very first haircut. We took her to a place called Sweet & Sassy. It was such a cute salon that caters to little girls. We may have to do a party there when she is older. She trimmed it a little bit in the back to even out or rat tail and then did a few layers to add a little volume and it actually helped her hair curl better which I was afraid that if I got it cut it would cut off the curls so I am happy with it.

This step is Elle's little buddy. She carries it around with her everywhere. Kind of cute but super annoying at the same time.



And the time has come. I have put it off as long as I could. Which wasnt really that hard because the child doesnt have that much hair. She is getting a haircut tomrorrow. Scissors of any sort have not touched this head. So here is a before pic.

First: I told Drew we were going on an egg hunt and his reply was "ooh fun, but we dont have a gun"

Second: He said GD(but full out in all it's glory). Where did he learn that from you ask? Justin's computer game. Time to put it away.
