Louisiana

So after being home for a day from Colorado, Elle and I packed up and headed to Louisiana to meet Mary Ann and Jesse's new baby Charlie Grace. What a doll! I hate living so far from my family especially now that we have kids. It's just not fair! Anyway, we had a great time spending time with family and catching up with old friends. And most of all loving on that baby. But a close second was all the yummy food. Oh how I miss the South! Justin was a trooper and stayed back with the boys. They loved every minute of having the house to themselves and doing whatever they pleased! Elle got spoiled with attention, and it was nice to have a lot of one on one time with her. She is such a great traveling buddy! My dad even took her to an alligator farm and she held an alligator! (i need to track down the picture)

We Spent the 4th at Jesse's Dad's house on the lake with a yummy fish fry!

Colorado

We went to Colorado to Justin's Grandma's house. The kids were in heaven running around, riding golf carts, being pulled behind the 4 wheelers and playing on the slip and slide. We also went to Telluride one day to ride the gondolas and shop and eat. It was beautiful. So nice to enjoy some cooler weather.

Drew is 8!

What a big Birthday Drew had this year! I can't believe he is 8. Complete with a party at the pool and ended with Dinner at his favorite place, Chili's.

Rudy's

Justin's all time favorite BBQ place from when he lived in San Antonio opened up a restaurant here in the Valley. He's never been so excited! And yes we have driven the hour twice to go eat there. And I admit it was worth it!

Ballet Umbrella Style

Elle had her first Ballet Recital. And OH MY GOODNESS if she wasn't the cutest thing up on that stage. She always gives 100% and it really showed.

Elle Graduates

This was Elle's last year of Preschool. Pretty bittersweet. I know she will love Kindergarten and do so well.

6 months old (almost 7)

21 pounds, Eating Solids, Taking better naps, Sitting up and trying to crawl, Loves his brother the most still, Doctors say he needs a helmet but.... we think he's perfect :)

4 Months old

4 months old 18lbs and 27 inches long. Our big boy! Oh how I love him. I just think about him and watch him sleep and I want to cry. He is our little bashful boy. If a stranger approaches him his heart starts pounding and he wont make eye contact. He has the cutest smile with a dimple but very stingey with them. He loves his toes and puts everything in his mouth.

Disneyland

We went on our everytwoyeardisneytrip which was a blast, but I am thinking we wont be back for 3 years when Owen is a little older to enjoy the rides and actually sleep in the hotel. Luckily Connie and Darrell joined us for a few days to give us a break and to hold Owen while he slept at the park. We decided to stay at the Grand Californian which was great to be right at the park and not deal with shuttles. We didn't have the best luck getting there. We were delayed for 3 1/2 hours in the I-10 due to pot hole repairs. What a nightmare! Then on our way to get our car from Valet they called and said our car had a flat tire. So 3 hours later we headed home. Glad to get home.

Elle's 5th Birthday

Oh my gosh is my baby really 5?! I know I say that every year, but really! She is so smart and kind and thoughtful and sharp as a tac. The most observant little booger you've ever met. Can't get anything past this girl.

We started the day off with Manicures and Pedicures and Lunch with our buddies at Chick-Fil-a. And topped it off with Barros and Birthday frozen yogurt for Dinner.

This year we had a Dance party fully equipped with a Disco Ball, strobe lights, and lots of music. The kids were so cute playing Just Dance Kids on the PS3. It was a fun day!!
