Where did she come from?

So the questions begin! This morning Drew and I were playing with Elle and Drew said "where did she come from?" I said "who, Elle?" He nodded. I said "from Heavenly Father". And then he said "remember when it was just me". Man, I wasn't expecting that at all. I can't wait for the more difficult ones. Right!

When they were so little.

OK I know she is only 16 monthes but the doctor referred to her as a toddler and it broke my heart. I don't want her to grow up. And Drew, oh No he is almost 4. I can't believe it.

Phoenix Zoo

We just had to get out of this hell hole for a day so we decided to go down to Phoenix for a little fun. Well it ended up being a lot of fun. We of course made a stop on the way in to the one and only In n' Out. And then we went to the zoo where the kids were both really good and the weather was perfect. It was probably under 70 degrees. Flagstaff is usually a good 20-30 degrees cooler than Phoenix so I don't even want to know what the weather was like here. And then no trip to Phoenix would be complete without going to The Outlets in Anthem.

I really have Nothing to say

Except Justin said it best when he came in from brushing snow off the satellite and his car "This is Bull Sh*t!" Amen

Is it just Me?

These past couple of weeks I have spent a whole lot of time at home. I started to wonder "is it just me?" while untying the twisty tie off the loaf of bread... turning it in one direction and then the other, all the while convincing myself that I know I tightened it in one direction. From there I began to take note of all the little things that occur at home and while out and about that made me wonder 'is it just me'? So here is a little compilation of these things.

Is is just me or...

Do you dread changing the toilet paper roll even though it takes seconds?

Do you always seem to pick the dressing room with the broken lock but are too lazy to switch rooms so you precede to dress while holding the door shut with your behind.

After eating too much candy do you feel better after throwing away your candy wrappers (destroying the evidence) as if that will knock off some of the calories.

Do you seem to pick the squeekiest, most ear-piercing cart or the cart with the wheel that clanks with every rotation at the grocery store, the one that you know everyone is pretending not to hear.

Do you consider picking up your kid's toys part of your workout for the day?

Do you find it awkward when the person in the bathroom stall beside you is talking on the cell phone?!

Do you look forward to your Sam's Club trips just for the samples alone?

Do you get insanely jealous of the audience while watching Oprah's favorite things show and imagine how you would react when Oprah reveals one extravagant give-a-way after another?

Do you love the smell of Cabbage Patch Dolls? Well, this one is probably just me! But next time you are at Target hustle down the toy isle and take a whiff of the Dolls, that smell has to be patented.

So is it just me?!

Elle has 2 Mommas

OK, I know what you are thinking. And no I didn't pick up a lesbian lover on the side.
For some reason about a month ago Elle started calling her blanket Momma. So yesterday it was approaching bedtime and she was circling the couch saying "Momma, Momma, Momma" and then I realized she was looking for her blanket because I was standing right there and she didn't want me. And then a couple minutes later she found it and she was fine. I'm not sure why she calls it that. But we think it is pretty cute anyway.

Yard Sale

This weekend our neighborhood decided to do a community yard sale and me being the freak that I am about "stuff" decided to join in. It feels so good to get rid of "things". Luckily I have never been a person who would get attached to "things" so garage sales are easy for me and I was actually looking forward to it. Drew on the other hand kept saying things like "Elle will miss those", or "Elle will be sad if we sell that". We all knew who was really going to be sad. So we decided to let him buy Indiana Jones Lego's with the money from selling his toys. So every time someone would come by he would say "would you like to buy my toys?", and he would show the kids how to work some of the toys. I guess I got a little carried away when Drew left his bike out and a little boy got on it (Drew was inside) and the mother asked how much for the bike? And I blurted out $10. Well SOLD! Drew comes outside later and shouted "Somebody stole my bike!" oops! I guess we will be buying him a new bike soon!

Girl's Night!

Justin took Drew on Father Sons Campout tonight so a few friends and I decided to get together with our little ones who are all within a year of eachother. We went to Ruby Tuesday's at the Mall and then shopped a little. It was nice to get together with good friends. Here is a picture of all the sweet Little Ladys that came with us.

Play Date

Drew had a "play date" with Isaac today so I printed off a few activities for them to do.
This is Drew's finished product after less than 5 minutes of working.

And this was Isaac's finished product after about 45 min of working.

It's going to be a long 12 years of school at this rate. These boys are so different Drew wanted to rush through so he could play and Isaac "the perfectionist" concentrated on every little detail. To each his own.
It's 5:30 pm Do You Know Where Your Children Are???

This is where I found Drew after I was scolded to be quiet while he was resting on the couch. (He stormed out shortly after)

Reason #1

My Drew there isn't a day that goes by that he doesn't make me laugh. He really is a sweet kid.

Reason #2

My Sweet Sweet Elle I could just kiss her for hours.

These are just a couple of reasons why my life is so blessed. And why today has been such a special day. Motherhood is such a great thing. But all in the same breath the hardest thing I have ever been through. I love these kids sooo much and love being their mom (well sometimes) I wouldn't change my life for the world. Out of no where today Drew said "I think it's Mother's Day" and I said "what does that mean to you?" and he said "I think it's going to be a happy day".

When Mom is Away....

Paige went to Phoenix for a girls/mothers day shopping trip. So I was home with the kids. The day started out really frustrating because Drew had a T-ball game scheduled and team pictures. So I had to wake Elle up and we were flying there so we wouldn't miss the pictures when suddenly the road was closed due to a parade. They had a bunch of signs showing us the detour route which we followed but it lead right back into the parade. Basically there was no way to get to the game until the parade was over. I think it had something to do with the the Cinco de Mayo festival going on this weekend. Freakin' Cinco de Mayo. Then we stopped at Target and that was okay until Drew started saying he had to go poo. So we rush to the bathroom, he sits down and ... nothing. He says, "it's not working" and "there's no poop inside of me" so we finish our shopping and head for the car. I get the kids all strapped in and the Camry strikes again. It won't start. So we're sitting in a hot car while I try and get it started and Drew starts farting like crazy. Since, we're not going anywhere I ask if he has to poop. He says yes so we all head back into Target. He sits on the pot again and again he gives the usual, "it's not working" and "there's no poop inside of me". We go back to the car and this time "presto" the car starts and we head back home. Freakin' Camry. When we got home I decided we weren't going to leave again. Elle got into the water table. While Drew chilled waiting for Elle to go to sleep so he could play with his Star Wars weegos. After Elle's nap we had some fun in the sprinklers since it was a "toasty" 70 degrees.

Finally!

Finally, I have found my camera so I am back on the blogging circuit. I guess it got left in our hiking backpack from 2 weeks ago. My sweet husband found it so I am really excited. This is the picture I found on the camera from our hike with Bethany. Justin is so excited because he thinks Elle is going to be "outdoorsy" like him. She loves to be in the backpack for a hike.
