I am not really one to be senitmental, but this really touched me. I am guessing because I have a daughter of my own now. My Mom and and I are very alike and I can't say I was the easiest teenager to deal with but I am so greatful for the relationship that we have now. Mom, I love YOu!
p.s. that note was written at 7:00pm and I was born around 9:00pm

This is the kind of thing I LOVE to find from my childhood. What a very special thing for your mom to give you. i'm impressed that she still had it!
I once found a letter that my grandma (my mom's mom) wrote to my mom after she had me. It said how she was so honored that my mom chose to use her name (my middle name). it's so special to me, even more since she died in a horse riding accident in July of '80. I was born in May.
Things like this are priceless.

That is amazing! My mom kept a journal all the years I was growing up. I look forward to the day that she'll pass them on to me so I can read them...although, I might not like some of the stuff I read, I wasn't the easiest teenager either - YIKES!
