I know my last few posts haven't had pictures but I still wanted to post about our little trip the kids and I took. My friend Juliette has been living in Mesa all summer while her husband is doing an internship. So we decided to go visit her and spend the night. When we arrived we went to the Dinosaur Museum in Mesa and Drew really enjoyed that and then went to a sandwich shop called Sweet Cakes which was really good. Drew's new passion is swimming. He swam 3 times in less then 24 hours. And almost drown only once. We also broke a few world records while we were there. First the amount of hours Elle is awake in the middle of the night. My little princess woke up at 11pm and then didn't go back to sleep until 2am. And then the amount of time she slept in the car. She slept almost the entire way home so about 2 hours. I know some people are thinking "big deal your baby slept in the car". But it is a huge deal for her. From the day we brought her home from the hospital she hated the car. And recently she maxed out at 30 minutes. So I guess the key for road trips is keep her up for 3 hours in the midddle of the night. Anyway, thanks Juliette for having us we had a great time. Now I am ready for you to come back.

Disclaimer: these pics are not from the trip (I forgot my camera)

Sounds like a fun trip! Nice to break up the routine a little bit. Oooh, miss Elle, I might just have to teach you a lesson about keeping your mommy awake at night the next time I see you (it'll have to involve cats in some way for it to really get through to you)! =) haha

I love that stance Drew is doing in that picture. it sounds like your little trip was really fun. how nice to have a little get away, even if you had a rough night.
